My son and his bride to be just purchased a house and it has a fairly sizable deck, perhaps about 500 sq. ft. It really needs to be refinished and would require a good sanding. What sort of sander should be used? Belt sander, random orbital sander or what? I believe a clear finish / preservative will be used to help make it water-resistant.
