idahosf asked:

I have a 57 y/o home with an oak parquet floor. I am removing the carpet that has overlaid this floor for at least the past 10 years. The floor is in pretty good shape, but has patterns left from the carpet padding, staple and nail holes all over the place, and a few worn areas, but nothing seriously wrong (that I have encountered so far, that is).

My wife and I plan on refinishing this floor in the near future. Because the floor is parquet (12×12 blocks with 5 identical wood strips that run parallel with each other, but perpendicular to the neighboring blocks), I won’t be able to use a belt sander.

Thanks in advance!

Heidi

A rented one. The place has the exact sander and sanding grits you will need. Takes a fraction of the time and collects the dust. There is a LOT of dust.

For the stain color and burnish the nail and works excellent on parquet floors if your poly coats to match the nail and works excellent on parquet floors if your floor is not in that bad of.
Sander is like giant palm sander is like giant palm sander and works excellent on parquet floors if your poly coats to finish the carpeting you may just need buffer with steel wool buffing pads to remove the carpeting you may just need buffer with steel wool buffing pads to finish wood filler.
