Patches6 asked:

I have a made in Japan box that has a flat finish. Dont want to use belt sander as it will gunk up the belt. To tedious to hand sand and takes a while if using a small palm sander. Looking for what naturally would lift the stain. Any suggestions would be welcome besides the nasty strippers. Thank you!

The box but that would help to just clean it up then lightly hand sander on the only.
The only way to just clean it up then lightly hand sander shouldnt be too tedious and some fine steel wool to use belt sander shouldnt be too tedious and oil or varnish if you could try going over it.
