AGirlieTomboy asked:

What is the most powerful sander for corners of a deck and for sanding vertical outdoor wood? I have a Fein Power Vac, so I want something that has an attachment for that. I’ve successfully sanded my entire 50′x25′ deck, as in, taken off approx. 2mm of 25yr old wood, with a Bosch 4″x24″ belt sander but would like to finish corners and around nails that stubbornly refused to be driven down. I would like to use the same high-power sander on vertical boards, also. I’ve tried the Festool Rotex 125 FEQ, which combines eccentric with rotational motion, but it’s too much orbital motion for really rough sanding. Thanks for any help!

leet asked:

I have inherited a collection of power tools including a jigsaw, two miter saws, a drill, a router and a belt sander. All but the router suffer from a mild to moderate case of rust. They are all still in fine working condition.

What is the best way to clean and polish them up for safe and proper use?

Ok, I saw someone saying that Dewalt is the best. However I didn;t see alot of people backing up this claim. Now I DO know that Dewalt DOES make quality products for sure, but I was kinda wondering if they aren’t just kinda riding their name a bit? While they still make good tool perhaps they aren’t the GREAT tools they used to be? Bit I digress. Another brand that I thought was supposed to make really good tools is Bosch. But I haven’t seen anyone mention them? Are THEY not what they used to be? Or was I mis-informed to begin with? My dad has always used Makita and lower end Dewalt. But he has never been one to “splurge” on getting the absolute BEST either. I havent bought ANY power tools before (never had a resason to in my young life). But I just got my first house and needs alot of work. I KNOW I will need some quality tools to help me through the process. Any advice that anyone can offer would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

jeremy k asked:

of tools “Soul Power”. the tools would feature larger grips for their larger hands as well as more “funky” designs on the exterior of the tool which look more “pimped out”. the slogan of the tools would be
“soul power tools- bigger and funkier - just like you.” the instruction manual would be in regular english as well as “rap” english. do you think this idea could catch on?

athorgarak asked:

The tos I am looking for, even if I need to find a collector, are very small power tools (jig saw, circular saw, drill, sander etc) they are made of a good quality metal and feel like real, adult tools. they came in little yellow or grey (I forget which) cases that doubled as the power pack (they needed ‘D’ batteries installed in the case) and the tool plugged into the case.
I really, REALLY want to find a set of these for my son (and, I admit, for myself)
ANY help is greatly appreciated

Looking at a Cordless Power tool, by GRIP, not familiar with that brand of power tools. Anyone own a GRIP, and how do you compare it to a SKIL, or similar brand Power Tool?
