ok…first, its not raining NOW, it has all night. the porch is covered, so the wood isnt soaked…maybe a bit damp.

Craig C asked:

I always hear commercial’s on the radio from stores that sell hand crafted furniture made my Amish, and Mennonite craftsman. Something makes me think they dont use power tools for building because i figure they do things strictly with their hands since their old fashioned.
I just had this thought after i thought of the movie Kingpin.

CobMan151 asked:

I’ve been thinking about buying a set of power tools to use in carpentry applications (Im tired of borrowing my grandfathers). I’m in the process of remodeling my home and need a circular saw, a drill/screwgun and a recipricating saw. I saw the Milwaukee V28 set and it looks like just what I need. My grandfather who is a very experienced carpender tells me Milwaukee is a very good brand. Tell me what you think…..thanx.

U.S. power tools run on 110v 60hz. U.K. power is 240v 50hz.
Will I be able to run and use my U.S. power tools here in Scotland? Or will I need to buy all new U.K. rated tools?

I want to sand the tongue and groove floorboards in one of the bedrooms. Can this be done with a belt sander. I cant hire a floor sander as I dont have a passport. Also would it be cheaper to do than a floor sander and what grit belts would I start with?
